Zoo

So today in the sweltering heat Brian made a group of us go to The Hogle Zoo to visit the stressed out animals. So in case you have not visited the zoo in a while, here is an update, The Hippo is gone moved to a zoo in New Mexico. Good for Hippo, (his cage was repulsive) Sad for everyone else. The polar bear has died, as well and the male lion. The new Elephant place is much, much better than the old one. A new "big cat" place will be up and running summer 2006. And can I just say it s about effing time. The "big cat" place was probaley one of the worst things up there. A new baby orangatang is up there and she is soooo cute. Also a baby Meercat. Super cute as well. However, we could not find Wolves, or Mtn. Lions. And Zoo food is the grossest thing ever. And they have no Possums there whats up with that!

O Possum, You're Awesome!

A tribute to the opossum.(Its only fair if I am going to name my blog after them.)
So, we all know that Possums are the coolest because they can hang upside down forever and the are so freaking cute, but did you know:

*In animal tests, they rank smarter than dogs.
*They have thumbs on their hind feet.
*They are North Americas only marsupial.
*They eat "pests" aka beetles, cockroaches etc...
* If a enemy comes and they can't flee, they roll over, shut their eyes, and feign dead aka they "play possum"
* When they "play possum" they can do it anywhere from a few minutes to several hours.
*They have been around for 70 million years! That means they chilled with Dinosaurs!
* That also makes them they oldest suviving mammal!

Star Bores...

So,I saw Star Wars yesterday, and I was so bored. And don't get me wrong, I love Hayden Christensen, but he talked so damn slow, I felt like I was going Crazy. But then again, pretty much everyone talked slow. Except for Samuel L Jackson. And Ewan McGregor. If it wasn't for Yoda (and his complete awesomeness), Samuel, Ewan, and lightsaber fights I would of left that movie I half hour into it.

Bird!

So this morning as I was getting ready for work I heard quite the clamor or ruckus if you will, coming from another room in my house. I thought well that odd, but, my cats always tend to make a ruckus. But soon the ruckus came fling into my room. What was the ruckus you ask? It was my cat Elphie with a flapping bird in her mouth. Well, I sprung from my bed grabbed the cat and to make a long story short the bird flew around my room in panic for about 1 and a half hours till I finally caught it. and freed it outside. The scene resembled a scene from Birds with Tippi Hendren.

Bewitched

Yesterday I saw the movie Bewitched and I liked it alot. It was funny. The movie was cool because Kristen Chenoweth was in it, and she was in Wicked and she is awesome... like a possum. Also Carole Shelley from Wicked was in the movie too. ALso before the Movie they showed the RENT trailer. And we all know that I heart the RENT trailer. At the end of the trailer we all cheered and clapped and this stupid chef in ffont of us said "Yeah, I can't want to miss that movie" and so I said "F*#k you" and everyone laughed. That is all.

PS. today Ryan hit his head and than I ate pizza.

Animal Facts...

So today I learned some animal facts, here they are:

-The most dangerous animal in the world is the Sea Wasp. A type of Jellyfish. After being stung, a human can die in as little as 3 min!

-The most dangerous land animal is humans, followed by Hippos.


-The most dangerous animal in Canada is Moose.

-The animal that kills the most people is a bit of a toss up. Worldwide studies say it is mosquitoes due to the fact they can give you all sorts of diseases.( killing 2 million worldwide). Deer were at the top of the US list due to Deer vehicle collisions. (83 people in 2000) followed by people dying from Domestic Dog Bites. Although, some studies say Dogs kill more due to Rabies, so I don't know.

-The fastest flying insect is the Dragonfly reaching up to 36mph.

-The largest dog is the Irish Wolfhound that reaches 7ft when standing.

-Sharks don't kill that many people. 5 was the total number of shark deaths in 2001

-Alligators and crocodiles have killed on average 1 person a year in the past 33 years.

Happy Birthday to me!

Yesterday was my birthday and for my Birthday Cynthia, Derek and I went up to Park City. We went on the zipline. On said zipline you whiz down the mountain at 40 mph that is fast and it is sooooooo much fun. We also went on the Alpine slide. And there was a Groundhog. I love me some Vermon. We also ate at Robert Redford's resturant. Very Yummy. Also, the Tony Awards are on tonight! Yeah! I really want Norbert Leo Butz to win!

Happy Birthday Erin!!

So, tonight Cynthia, "The K-Hu" and I went over to my friend Erin's house for a surprise Happy Birthday. It was alot of fun. we ate pizza and talked, laughed whatever. A splendid time was had by all.

RENT movie!!

Shopping!

So the last few weeks pretty muched sucked. All sorts of crappy things went down. So to lighten my spirts I went and did one of my favorie things... I went shopping! Yeah! And although I have no money, I do have a Nordstrom and Victoria's Secret credit card. So I bought some stuff. Yeah. Now I am a happy girl. Well at least for now... But I do get paid on Friday... hmmmmm.

I am so very happy!! Tonight was the end of "The Amazing Race" and ny team won! Yeah I am so happy!!

Goodbye Barb and House!

So last night we had the last and final party ever to be held at my friend Barb's house. And this is a great house. Big open rooms awesome porch very cool backyard. We have had many a successful party at this splendid house. The largest and most crazy being New Years 2005. So last night we had a party to celebrate quite a few random events, Some of them being: Barb along with our friend Joe heading off to Chile for a month, Katie, Lance, and quite a few others graduating from collage (Congrats guys!), Derek's birthday, Barb's roommate Emily getting a job, their sooncoming "Eviction", and many other reasons that I can't think of. All in all we had a good showing of people and I would call it a success. People danced to the tunes blasting from Barb's computer, played for hours with a beach ball, had good conversation and drank themselves silly. I belief a good time was had by all. But like all partys, it had its far share of drama too. The main event being with some kid who nobody claimed knowing. He went drunkenly searching through Barb's room and ended up laying on the floor, covered in her clothes, consuming a bag of Lays chips. Luckily our friend Jaylene noticed the weirdness of this event, and after much prodding, and a bit of yelling, he left.

So "The Amazing Race" is down to just 3 teams! The season ends next week with a 2 hour show. I really hate Rob and Amber and they are probley going to win. I want Uchennna and Joyce. They are awesome like a Possum.

A Gosling!

Well, today it happened! The first of the baby gooselets was born!! I came home from work went on the porch and heard a high pitched sweaking and when Ezzy stood up beneath her sat one little gooselet! It was so tiny fluffy and cute!! Tomorrow is the day I get my wisdom teeth out. All four. Eek. I am not looking forward to this. I think the most disconcerning thing about this is not one persons wisdom tooth horror story matched up. I think I have heard every possible senerio. Sleeping for days, vomiting. Spiting up blood, eating pizza the same day the teeth came out, tons of pain, no pain swelling up huge, one side swelling up, crying, etc etc etc.... Neverless, I am scared...
