Happy New Year

This New Year's Eve, have this be your song:
(Its going to be mine...)

We Are Young

Tonight We are young
So let's set the world on fire
We can burn brighter
Than the sun

Now I know that I'm not
All that you got
I guess that
I just thought maybe we could
Find new ways to fall apart
But our friends are back
So let's raise a cup
Cause I found someone to carry me home

The world is on my side I have no reason to run
So will someone come and carry me home tonight

Wrap It Up (Part Two)

It continues...

Every hilarious side splitting moment spent with the BFF.

And Real Games. You know I love those games.

The trip to LA with my mom in February.
Spencer and Scottie's visit. Also known as "The Best Week Ever."
Dinners at Dodo & shopping with this fabulous girl.
The love I felt at mt birthday lunch.
Every class/moment spent with this amazing teacher. I owe her more then she will ever know.
Raw Couture, my schools fashion show. Tears, laughs, and so much more went into this train wreck. There is no way I could of got through it without Kaya & Brittany. What a learning experience.
All the time spent at Sundance with this awesome girl, plus the windiest day of our life.
See these girls? Hallie & Bethany. They are remarkable, strong amazing woman. I adore them.
Ringing in the New Year with these two friends. Allison was so amazing this year. She stuck by me in a really awful situation and showed me what true, loyalty in friendship means
You didn't think I'd forget these did you? What would 2011 be without James Franco?

Unbearable. It would of been unbearable.

Wrap It Up (Part One)

What a year 2011 has been. Its honestly been one of the hardest years of my entire life. Between losing Phebee in April, working at a job that made me miserable for 6 months, car problems, a job I really liked working at closing, an ER visit and realizing you thought someone who was a good friend was really a horrible person, some days it all seemed like to much to handle. But somehow I made it and now I am welcoming 2012 with open arms. That's not to say 2011 didn't have its good moments. So I wanted to share some. Here they are! In no logical order whatsoever.

The addition of Max. My furry, cuddly, totally lovey bug.

The only good thing I got out of Nordstrom: Two amazing friendships with Kate (in the lavender) and Jen (in the stripes)

This little teeny tiny entering my life thanks to Jenny. What a love my Mrazzy is.

I had a hummingbird I saved sitting on my finger. This still amazes me to this day.

Days at the spa spent with these two crazy kids. Kate & Will. (Yep those are their names) Also known as Princess & Monkey.

Watching this BEAUTIFUL girl who I've known since she was a mini graduate high school. Here she is with her "moms" so proud.

Being a bridesmaid in Jessica's wedding.

Fraggle turning one!

Oh The Weather Outside Is Weather

Well friends, it happened. We finally got snow! Now, as you know I hate snow. But, winter has felt a little awkward this year without it. It came and went slowly and will probably be all melted by 5:00 today, but it did happen.
Yesterday, Mayra and I went on a little freezing, snowy venture to the Gateway where we bought these awesome hats:

Mayra went a little more snowboard fashion (I picked it out) and I opted to go a little more woodland creature.
We also did about a 4 minute walk around temple square before they shut the lights out on us. Wah wah.

Remember how I've been searching for Eggplant colored jeans? You don't? Well I have been. So far I've only been able to find them at Nordstrom and they were $160. That's a lot for purple jeans. Well last night I finally found some! At...wait for it...Pac Sun. Random, I know. but they fit just as well if not better then the Nordstrom ones, and were way more reasonably priced! I also have to say the Pac Sun staff provided some of the best customer service I have experienced in a LONG time. Every person there was friendly and helpful. Even though it was late and I'm sure they'd had a long day. So big ups to Pac Sun!
*We also bought out hats there. Just in case you cared.

Fraggle Update

I've been really lame about uploading photos. But seeing as I am trapped at home due to my car breaking down, I had some time. So here is a Fraggle update:

He is getting so big! He says some words now! He will be two in March! Where has the time gone?!?!
To celebrate him getting big Trixi & I pulled out all the stops and took him to the moon.

Then we swung by Mars.

A couple weeks later we took him to see Santa.

No, he is not passed out, just mad at me for the whole Santa trainwreck. Sorry Roro.

Christmas Movies

I totally stole this idea from Pinky, but here are my top 3 Christmas Movies! Tada!

3-The Muppet Christmas Carol
"Mother always taught me: "Never eat singing food.""
I love anything with Kermit, but this version of this over told story is my favorite.
The songs are perfect, the Muppets are adorable and it always makes me laugh and cry.

2-National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
"I don't know what to say, except it's Christmas and we're all in misery."
I have loved this movie since I was little. I have watched it over and over and I always laugh like I am seeing the jokes for the first time. Once when I was little my cousins and I even made up a play featuring scenes from this movie. To me this movie is classic holiday fun.

1-Love Actually
"But you know, the thing about romance is... people only get together right at the very end."
How could I not make this number one? This movie kills me every time. I cry every time I watch it. Its beautiful in so many ways. It has the perfect cast. I make a point of watching it every year around Christmas.

Five Friday Faves-Travel Edition

Now that I work in travel, I get to look at pics of all the fun places other people get to go. So here are a few places I am dying to go to:

Hollywood
I LOVE LA. I know I'm in the minority, but I do. I miss this place like crazy. The food, beaches, warm weather, fashion...and of course the celebs. Le sigh.

Paris.
I will go to Paris one day. I will see all the fashion houses & the Eiffel tower. I will eat pastries. I will kiss a dirty French boy. Done and done.

Cape Town, South Africa.
Since I read Cry The Beloved Country in high school I have wanted to visit South Africa. I will go on a safari and see a lion in the wild before I die.

New York.
Its been almost 12 years now since I've been to the Big Apple. I think its high time I make the trip again. (Seeing as I know like 20 people that live there you would think I'd take advantage of this...)

San Francisco
One of my greatest loves. I miss the fog and trolley cars so much, it physically hurts sometimes.

Lennon

John Lennon
October 9, 1940 – December 8, 1980

You don't need anybody to tell you who you are or what you are. You are what you are!

Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.

All we are saying is give peace a chance.

-John Lennon

Crazy Heart

OK, I know I'm behind, but have you seen Crazy Heart? Thanks to netflix I finally watched it. I'm not going to lie, I originally only wanted to see this movie because one of my back up husbands Colin Farrell is it in, but, OMG I loved it. I did not think I would. Everything about this movie was perfectly done, the casting, costumes, script, the whole thing. Jeff Bridges was perfect. And turns out Colin has one hell of a voice on him. Anyway go see it.

PS Remember that time I met Colin back at Sundance 08? We are just so lovely...
