When The Day Met The Night

OK I'm totally stealing this idea from the fabulous Jeremiah but this is my send off to poetry month.

When the moon fell in love with the sun
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night

When the sun found the moon
She was drinking tea in a garden
Under the green umbrella trees
In the middle of summer

When the moon found the sun
He looked like he was barely hanging on
But her eyes saved his life
In the middle of summer (summer)

In the middle of summer
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night
Summer (summer)
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night
Summer, summer, summer, summer
All was golden when the day met the night

So he said, "Would it be all right
If we just sat and talked for a little while
If in exchange for your time
I give you this smile?"

So she said, "That's okay
As long as you can make a promise
Not to break my little heart
Or leave me all alone in the summer."

Well he was just hanging around
Then he fell in love
And he didn't know how
But he couldn't get out
Just hanging around
Then he fell in love

In the middle of summer
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night
Summer
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night
Summer, summer, summer, summer
When the moon fell in love with the sun
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night

Drinks and Desserts

I had another friend in town last weekend too! Jing came to visit for her mom's birthday so Saturday we headed out to Market Street for drinks and desserts. And while Market Street lacks in the amazingness of their chocolate martini their raspberry almond tart is to die for. I love catching up with Jing we always laugh like crazy and her stories are the best!

Real has its second home game of the season tomorrow and so far its still snowy/rainy/cold outside. Yikes. Lets hope we get some sunshine tomorrow!
Have a great weekend peeps!

Picnic At The Park

I am very happy to report that Derek came to visit! It was a beautiful day Saturday so Derek, Trixi, little fraggle, Kevin and I spent the afternoon picnicking at Liberty Park. It was so lovely! I miss Derek like crazy and wish he could of stayed longer, but it was good to have our Arttix trio out and about causing trouble again. Plus, it was time for Rowan to finally meet his Guncle!

Derek had to wear a pair of my old Channel sunglasses because he forgot his. Doesn't he look dashing?

So adorable. :)

This is my fave pic from the day Derek and Rowan's facial expressions kill me.

Tom...er...Blake?

This week I would like to spend my alone time with this fellow:

I think perhaps his name is Blake. I think he is beyond adorable. He is the Tom's shoes guy and I love him. He has great hair and a gorgous perfect tooth smile. and I feel like he is the type of guy that would build you a beach hut then spend the night serenading you on his guitar he built out of coconuts and banana leaves.

Whenever I see giant posters of him at the mall I always stop and swoon.

I just wish the shoes were cute.

Hey Soul Sister.

OK, I know I'm behind but, I went to the Train concert last Thursday! Yay!
I have loved Train ever since "Meet Virgina" came out way back in the high school days and Ramsey and I used to listen to it all the time. I've seen Train perform two other times, I even met the lead singer once, but this was probably the best Train concert I've been to. So much fun. Mayra and I started the evening at Squatters, (Yummy!) then decided to walk to the Gateway to buy warmer clothes because we were freezing. (Hence why we both ended up in gray Roxy hoodies) The concert was amazing (We ended up in the front row) and afterward we headed to Keys on Main for the after party. Where some random hot dudes decided they loved us. Yay for Earth day 2010!

PS Earth day marks the one year anniversary of me getting laid off from Strategic. I recently took a moment to reflect on how my life has drastically changed in the past year. Wowza.

I'd like to spend some alone time with...

For this weeks edition of ILTSSATW I give you Kenny Santucci, star of MTV's RW/RR Challenges. OK, so he is kind of douch, be he is also funny and totally hot. Done and done. Yum. There is a reason why they call him Mr Beautiful. He is the best thing to ever come out of Jersey next to Bon Jovi and Chelsea Handler. And I swear to God, if Wes gets him kicked off Fresh Meat 2, I will find Wes and punch him in his ugly face. Thank you.

Louie!

I'm not going to lie. I have been sorta, kinda, completely stalking Olympic snowboarder Louie Vitto since I started following him on Twitter during the Olympics and realized he lives in SLC. I thought he was adorable on Dancing With The Stars. So imagine my TOTAL surprise when I was rolling up to the REAL game Saturday and saw a bunch of peeps sitting at tables signing autographs. Who are these peeps I wondered to myself and strolled on over calmly, until, I looked to the head of the table and saw Mr. Louie Vitto! This prompted me to yell! "OMG its Louie Vitto!!! Mom! Mom! Its Louie Vitto! That snowboarder I follow on Twitter and have been trying to find everywhere!" Like full volume. Smooth and calm is just how I roll. I immediately rushed to the table and got in line where, I was flipping out trying to find the camera. When I met him, since I'm so amazingly charming, one of the first sentences out of my mouth was: "I follow you on Twitter!" Yep. I'm just that cool. Please note this was made more weird by the random man behind me in line saying: "What, you're not going to kiss her?" Thanks Sir. Louie's response "I don't want to scare her away!" Wah wah. He is an awesome snowboarder and I totally adore him. I think he is so cute, despite how dirty he looks. I may be a little in love.

Turquoise

Last Monday I spent the afternoon with my favorite baby mama, Fraggle, and my good friend Shadna. We spent the afternoon introducing Fraggle to Jason Mraz, offensive novelty rap, and Michael Jackson. I also streaked Trixi's hair turquoise.

Because, she is on maternity leave and can do such things. :) We considered doing Rowan's, but then decided he didn't have enough hair. I can think of few better ways to spend an afternoon.
I love this little dude so much. I feel he will appear frequently on the blog, so get ready peeps.

Cut my hair.

I cut my hair off. Its way shorter now. With the new cut/color I feel like I look a little like Charlotte York. So that's new. I'll post pics later. This was an interesting weekend. Oy Ve. I cannot even begin to touch upon its events in this blog. In good news I bought myself a new purse.

I have wanted this purse forever. it was originally $399.00 I saw it at the Nordys Rack a few months back and it was $199.00 This is still to much. But yesterday I went and it was additional money off!!! Making it $119.00 after tax!!! And its not leather!! I took this as a blatant sign from the universe was giving me and bought it. I think it has to mean things are going to get better. And those of you that think I shouldn't of spend $119.00 on a purse can shut it. This is the first good thing to happen to me in a long while. I plan to use this object to fill the void left in my heart. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend.
PS My purse and I are very happy together.

Blah.

I am NOT having a good week. Nope. Not at all. Things just keep getting worse and worse. I gotta catch a break somehow. Its all been downhill since Sunday. I don't think I've had a good night sleep one night this week.
The one piece of joy in my heart is this little fraggle. I love him so much. He is a total dream come true and I cherish every moment I get to have with him.

Trixi has been my dear friend for years, and I am so thankful that her and Kevin have let me be a part in little Rowan's life

Here is a picture of the new hair color.

I finally have enough money to get it cut Saturday, so that's happening. After this weeks events though, I couldn't care less. Oh and RSL 's first home game is next Saturday. And...nope, I'm not really even excited for that either. I love my friends. They are amazing. So many of them have rallayed this week to providing support. Especially today. Thanks guys. It doesn't go unnoticed. I promise. I'm so desperate for things to get better I went out and bought a lucky charm stone thing that according to a book I own will help things get better. Heres to hoping.
