I dyed my hair

We are calling the new color "Nervous Breakdown Brown". I will post pics soon.
PS. Yesterday I got in a fight with a cop. I don't like cops. It felt good to yell at one.
P.P.S. The wind is blowing so bad right now I feel like my office is going to rip off the building and I will end up in OZ surrounded by Little People.
P.P.S.S. Also if yopu are the type of person that steals someones Iphone you are a total douchbag. And if you stole one from Simply Sushi last Sunday, you should return it. Have a plesent Tuesday.

This ones perfect! (And its just my size!)

Miss Mayra and I headed down to the Capital Theatre this week to see Legally Blonde the musical and I totally loved it! The cast was great! I just hated the group of girls behind us eating chips, opening sodas and talking full volume. And the girl in front of me that kept texting. WTF. Oh and don't forget the group that asked us to trade them seats. Why Mayra and I buy seats to anything I'll never know. haha
All in all we had a great time and i was so happy finally get to see the show live! I'm seeing it with my mom tomorrow, then its off to watch the first RSL game! Yikes! Good luck boys!

Health

I have pretty much said nothing but I can't remain quite anymore. I am happy about the Health Care bill. More then happy. I think it's important. I think it's a good step. I want everyone to be able to see a doctor when they want/need. That should be a basic right. I would much rather my tax dollars be spent to help someone who is sick rather then kill someone in a foreign country. I am proud of our country's leaders and very proud of our President. Since Obama has been in office, I finally understand what its like to be patriotic. I feel a sense of pride for my country that I've never felt before. I am 27 years old. I have had taxes taken out of my pay check. I am a tax paying citizen. I am also very broke. I am a hard worker. I want to better myself and this country. I would love to have a job that allows me insurance. Right now that isn't an option. Everyday I fear that if I get hurt or sick there will be NOTHING I can do about it because, I simply don't have the money to go to a doctor. I am so overjoyed this bill passed. I am so pleased that beautiful little baby Rowan and every child born after him will grow up in a world where they don't have to be scared about getting the help they need if they get sick. So Thank you Mr President. From the bottom of my heart.

To My Fellow Citizens, the Republicans:

Thanks to last night's vote, that child of yours who has had asthma since birth will now be covered after suffering for her first nine years as an American child with a pre-existing condition.

Thanks to last night's vote, that 23-year-old of yours who will be hit one day by a drunk driver and spend six months recovering in the hospital will now not go bankrupt because you will be able to keep him on your insurance policy.

Thanks to last night's vote, after your cancer returns for the third time -- racking up another $200,000 in costs to keep you alive -- your insurance company will have to commit a criminal act if they even think of dropping you from their rolls.

Yes, my Republican friends, even though you have opposed this health care bill, we've made sure it is going to cover you, too, in your time of need. I know you're upset right now. I know you probably think that if you did get wiped out by an illness, or thrown out of your home because of a medical bankruptcy, that you would somehow pull yourself up by your bootstraps and survive. I know that's a comforting story to tell yourself, and if John Wayne were still alive I'm sure he could make that into a movie for you.

But the reality is that these health insurance companies have only one mission: To take as much money from you as they can -- and then work like demons to deny you whatever coverage and help they can should you get sick.

So, when you find yourself suddenly broadsided by a life-threatening illness someday, perhaps you'll thank those pinko-socialist, Canadian-loving Democrats and independents for what they did Sunday evening.

If it's any consolation, the thieves who run the health insurance companies will still get to deny coverage to adults with pre-existing conditions for the next four years. They'll also get to cap an individual's annual health care reimbursements for the next four years. And if they break the pre-existing ban that was passed last night, they'll only be fined $100 a day! And, the best part? The law will require all citizens who aren't poor or old to write a check to a private insurance company. It's truly a banner day for these corporations.

So don't feel too bad. We're a long way from universal health care. Over 15 million Americans will still be uncovered -- and that means about 15,000 will still lose their lives each year because they won't be able to afford to see a doctor or get an operation. But another 30,000 will live. I hope that's OK with you.

If you don't mind, we're now going to get busy trying to improve upon this bill so that all Americans are covered and so the grubby health insurance companies will be put out of business -- because when it comes to helping the sick, no one should ever be allowed to ask the question, "How much money can we save by making this poor bastard suffer?"

Please, my Republican friends, if you can, take a quiet moment away from your AM radio and cable news network this morning and be happy for your country. We're doing better. And we're doing it for you, too.

Yours,
Michael Moore

Pigeon.

O Pigeon My Pigeon

O pigeon my pigeon,
I watch you fly so nice then land,
Flying through the air you are so neat and grand.
Some people call you rats with wings,
But I think you more queens and kings.
Your feathers are a lovely shade,
you are surely heaven made.
You fly so swiftly through the sky,
You are so lovely my oh my!
You like to be in Union Square,
and I like to feed you there.
Your little beaks peck for the food,
Oh I hope it tastes so good.
So dear pigeon it is true,
I will love no bird but you.

I wrote that beautiful piece of literature my senior year of High School.

PS Brian, they are watching you....

Fan

Some things I am a fan of this week:

MLS season starting!

Hooray! No strike! that means soccer starts this week! First Seitzy's game on Thursday them the first REAL game of the season! Even though its an away game I'm still SUPER excited! Remember that time we won MLS cup? Awesome.
Springtime!

Springtime is springing and I am loving it. Please note when I googled Springtime this painting came up. And they look pretty excited for spring don't they?

Blah Blah Blah
I am a fan of the Ke$ha album but especially the song "Blah Blah Blah" Its like an offensive novelty rap song written by a white girl. I love it. I epically like the line: "Don't be a little bitch with your chit chat Just show me where your dick's at" totally offensive. I love it

Some things I'm not a fan of this week?
Earache

I seem to have developed and earache in the past 24 hours and it is also causing a headache. Not cool

The stupid telephone music video

I wasted another 9 1/2 mins of my life last night giving this music video another chance. Nope. still totally hate it. My mom wasted her time too this round, and she thinks its totally degrading to women. I feel I have to agree. Why is she naked most of the video. Why? Its not like a have a problem with nakedness or am even a prude. (please note lyric posted above.)I'm just getting tired of seeing her naked and the videos having nothing to do with the songs. New idea please. I think Lady Gaga is phenomenally talented and I love her voice. But her videos make me cringe. And I don't like to cringe.

Jesse James and his repulsive whore

I love Sandra. The Blind Side was fantastic (note she remained clothed the whole movie. Just putting that out there...) I am absolutely disgusted by James James and that gross slut he cheated with. That girl is vial. I hate them both and refuse to put a pic of them on my blog.

It's a boy!

My last post was a fail. I certainly had news! My amazing friends Trixi and Kevin finally had their little baby Monday March 15!

Rowan Dante Emerson is 8 pounds 5 oz and 21 inches long. He has huge hands and feet and super long legs. I finally met him on Friday and I am totally crazy about him.

I can not wait for him to get older so we can watch Fraggle Rock together. I also promised him I would take him to meet a real lamb. Trixi is a super woman. 4 days in labor and an emergency c-section, with plenty of drama. He was also 17 days late! I told him not to worry about being late because I am late to everything. But now little Rowan is here and absolutely perfect. He is so new to this world and I am so thankful that I got to be a part of his life just 4 days in!

PS I knew it was a boy all along! :)

Kinda slow right now...

Bonjour. I started my new temp job at the census this week and so far its going swimmingly. I'm a little nervous to juggle that, school, and my district job but I will figure out a way to manage. The past few days have been totally beautiful weather here and I am loving it. I'm excited for it to get a bit warmer so I can start wearing summer dresses and sandals again. Really, I guess I don't have anything that exciting to say. Lets think...I bought some clothes at the Nordys yesterday (triple points! Yee haw!).... I had to go to the Latino mall Mon and it turns out they have totally delish ice cream... I'm planning to dye my hair again with upgraded dye this time... I think Mayra is going to make me watch that awful looking love story movie with the pale dude from Twilight and the chci from Lost ( I know their names but I'm to tired to goole how to spell them.)Yeah really that's all I got. Hopefully things will pick up by next week. Sorry team. Please enjoy this adorable picture of squirrels.

One Eskimo

Because I am so awesome at winning things on the radio apparently, this week I found out i won tics to a special Endzone performance of the AMAZING band One Eskimo. I first saw them when they opened for Tori Amos this summer, and loved them. The show was totally awesome, they were great and a totally nice group of guys. Took a pic signed our Cd's and stopped and chatted with us. What a cool group of guys. One even called Emily his new girlfriend haha. I hope the have tons of success.

(It's the shaggy haired one on the left the loves Emily.)

How cute is the lead singer Kris? Plus,he is a total sweetheart. :)

PS Download their song Kandi. AMAZING. its my favorite.
The video is below. Watch it. I promise they are great.

Eh.

OK maybe its just me, but I am totally over this Runaways movie and it hasn't even come out yet. It looks awful. I have absolutely no desire to see this movie. I don't like their songs. I don't like Dakota Fanning over the age of 10, and I def don't like Kristen Ihateyourface Stewart. She is a horrible actor.

I feel like the producers of this movie have been all over the place trying to make me excited for the movie. First they had photos from filming in US Weekly like 2 years ago. Then they were all over Sundance causing drama and being rude little bitches (yes I'm referring to Dakota and Kristen). Now every time I turn on E! or look at someones blog, everyone is talking about this damn movie. BOO! Boo I say!!

Call me crazy...

I like this dress.

I do. I love the color on her. The neck strap could go and the hair def needs work, but I'm on board. Plus its Chanel Couture. And really, what did you expect her to wear? A plain black gown? Hell no.

Jenny's Birthday

Friday Jenny had a birthday. Dinner, drinks, and a great time were had by all.
I love these girls VERY much. :)

Birthday Shout-Out

Today, is my lovely friend of 20 plus years Ms. Jenny Rose Adams Birthday!
I met Jenny in 2nd grade. I remember the first time I saw here because she came into class and was screaming and crying because she didn't want her mom to leave her. I must have appreciated the drama, because at recess I went up and introduced myself and the rest is history! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNY!!!
Apparently I only have pics form the past 3 years of our friendship on the computer. FAIL.

Ode to Bode

I almost forgot to give a big shout out to another one of my original Olympic loves and the man I someday plan to name a pet dog after, Bode Miller!

I have loved Bode for YEARS. Sometimes he makes me feel like I might want to take up sking again. But then I remember the cold, the crashing and the way it feels when chucks of ice hit your face and I change my mind. I have a T-Shirt with his face on it. If I remember correctly, I got in from swag that Anthony Rapp didn't want from Sundance. That's random. Any-woo Bode rocks and I love him. I even stood by his side in the disaster that was his run in the 2006 Torino Olympics. But this time he came back better then ever managing to win a bronze, silver and gold! Yay! I heart his ridiculously beautiful face. He has got one more race today and I'm sure he will rock it.

SWOON.

Good For Me!

I am proud. Monday I got my First big project (My Stella McCartney paper) back in my Intro to Fashion class, and I got 95 out of 100! Hooray! I worked my ass off on that thing and I feel my grade was well deserved. :)
My Textiles midterm was today and I got 86%! I was already very happy with this grade because the test was VERY hard, when the teacher informed me she is grading on a curve and the highest grade anyone got was a 92%! Wahoo! I couldn't be more pleased with myself. I studied long and hard for that test. Gracie, Sarah, Tyler, Brittney, Emily and I were an awesome study group team. I love those peeps. They are the best. So yay for school! And for that matter, yay for school I'm actually good at!!

Quick Update

Hello friends, how are ya? Things have been so crazy busy lately I've only had a quick sec to blog about hot boys lately.
Any-woo. I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's/President's Day. And that everyone enjoyed their weekend. I had a lovely weekend. My highlight for sure was having a lunch with my good friend Amaury on Friday, who I haven't seen since like November. Then heading out on the town with my ladies Mayra and Maya Saturday Night. I feel like I don't get to see Maya ever so it was great to see her.

School is fun, I'm really liking it. My textiles class very hard but its interesting too and I'm learning a lot. Midterms start next week and I'm getting nervous so wish me luck! XOXO

Ohno

Apolo Anton Ohno

Okay, okay. I know homeboy is a total douch, and I should not at all be starstruck by him seeing as he lives in my city and I see him at the bars, but Apolo is completely amazing. He is athleticism at its highest form and I am so glad I've had the opportunity to see him skate in person. I had to include him on my list seeing as he was my first Olympics crush and all. He already won a silver in Vancouver and he is skating again tonight. I can't wait!

Plus, he is one hell of a dancer...

Its an Olympic Miracle!

Hello all. I hope you are all enjoying the Olympics for I heart them so. To help everyone get in the Olympic Spirit I have decided to profile a fave hot Winter Olympic athlete of mine every day. I am behind a few days because I just thought of this idea now. Enjoy.
Dale Begg-Smith

Dale is completely gorge so I thought I'd start with him.
He is a skier who was actually born in Canada but skis for Australia because Canada didn't want him to start his Internet company that eventually made him a multi millionaire. They wanted him to just focus on skiing. He started this company at age 13. On Valentines Day he not only won the silver medal for moguls but also my heart.

Wasn't that nice of him to bring my flowers? What a sweetie.
