Like My Ipods Stuck On Replay

If I got to make an Itunes celebrity play list, here is what would be on it:

1-Parachute by Ingrid Mickelson
This song is amazing. I'm totally obsessed. Somehow, Ingrid just gets it.
2-Love Like Woe by The Ready Set
This is maybe the most catchy song out right now so fun.
3-An Innocent Man by Billy Joel
Such a classic. I am loving it right now. Every time I hear it I want to dance like I'm in the cast of Movin' Out.
4-Already Know by Train
Mad at someone you are dating? Listen to this song.
5-Double Vison by 30H!3
An awesome pick me up song. Its just to ridiculous. Listen to this when you want to get over being mad at that person you are dating.
6-Only Girl In The World by Rhianna
Great Song. Total chic song, but awesome none the less.
7-Club Can't Handle Me by Flo Rida
I can't understand half the words of this song but the music is fab and it always makes me smile. I am loving teh chorus especially.
8-Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri
The amazing Jeremiah introduced me to this song and it has some of the most phenomenal lyrics I've ever heard.
9-If You're Gone by Matchbox Twenty
One of the best songs MB20 has ever wrote. I heard it on the radio and was reminded how much I love it. I'm currently listening to the live recording from their SLC show a few years back.
10-In My Life by The Beatles
The Beatles are amazing and this song is absolutely in my top ten favorite Beatles song.

A Few Things That Happened In Denver...

-We got the smallest rental car ever. (We will regret this very much later...)

-These peeps convinced us to go for a rickshaw ride.

-We feared for our lives on said $20 rickshaw ride.

-We ate breakfast at Panera. It was only so-so.

-We played in some trash at the Denver Museum of Art before the AWESOME king Tut exhibit. It was totally amazing. While we spent $30 enjoying beautiful art, our friend Mitch spent $130 on alcohol. (This is foreshadowing)

-Mayra made me take her pic in front of a baseball stadium. (baseball sucks.) This is right before things went terribly awry...

-Mitch got wasted the barfed in a parking lot.

Mitch passed out in our car the woke up and barfed again. ALL OVER THE RENTAL CAR. -This is why you don't ever get a 2 door car.

-We were 30 mins late to the game. I.was.not.pleased. I do not have pics of this because I was to busy screaming at Mitch, cleaning up puke with baby wipes, and trying not to cry, to photograph it.
-We get to game and RSL is losing. We saw a squirrel in the stadium. I was scared for squirrel's safety.
-RSL tied it in the last 5 minutes!

-Nat took pics with fans.

-Mayra and I were pleased...

...Untill Mitch wanted to take his shirt of to celebrate and Mayra wanted to kill him. We had, had more then enough at this point.

-Mitch took a pic with the enemy. Because the enemy encouged him to take his shirt off, while Mayra tried to keep it on him.

-We said goodbye to our hotel.

-We said goodbye to the amazing view of the freeway, home depot, strip mall, and nothingness behind it.

-We had a 3 hour delay at the airport.
-We had the worst flight ever. I thought we were going to die. It was like a roller coaster.
-We somehow made it home alive! (we looked to awful for pics at this point)

Happy Talk

I'm following Ramsey's lead a listing a few things that make me happy. Here goes...

1-Soft Kitty Warm Kitty .Nothing brings me more joy then laying in bed and having my sweet little Phebee Kitty nudge me to get under the covers so she can curl up next to me and purr. Bliss.

2-Time spent with my Fraggle. Whenever I'm with little Rowan I feel so much joy. I love feeding him, singing him rap songs, letting him hold my finger, helping him attempt to walk, whatever. Its all great.

3-Reading a new magazine. There is such a joyus feeling I get when one of ten magazines I subscribe to arrives in the mail and I know I have time to sit down and engulf it word for word.

4- Ben and Jerry's Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. 'Nuff said.

5-RSL. This stupid soccer team had equaled some of the best moments, greatest friends, and biggest smiles I've ever had. (Remember that time we won 2009 MLS cup? Still awesome to say that...)
6-Laughing. Especially with those you love. Laughing at Chelsea Handler with Allison. Laughing at the girls on Teen Mom with Ramsey. Laughing at Diego and Carrie. Laughing at douchie celebs with Pinky. Laughing at Brian's Glee Caps. Is there anything better then laughing?

Fall For You...

Well friends and neighbors, It looks/feels like fall is here. The leaves are changing and the air has a bit of a nip to it. I am actually enjoying fall this year. (Maybe because we are actually having it this year and not jumping straight to winter...)

I have enjoyed watching the leaves change and I got myself a pair of cute boots for my fall wardrobe. They look like this:

I adore them.
I leave for Denver this weekend for the final REAL game of the regular season so that's sure to be fun. I can't belive this season is almost done! Only trouble is, I have a cold! I went on a date Monday night and I have been a sniffly sneezy mess since half way through dinner. Oye Vie.

In other news my REAL boys rallied for a major win last night and of course I am very proud. Speical shout to my tiny little pal Paulo Jr for making two goals.

I have a huge midterm this week and I feel super nervous. I've been studying a lot, but I still feel totally lost.
Things are crazy busy, but I'm doing my best to keep up. I am exciting for my trip because I actually get three days off in a row! Wahoo! I hope you all are have a beautiful fall and have had some spare time to notice the beautiful fall leaves.

Are you there sleep? Its me Heidi.

OK I am aware I totally never have anything exciting to say but whatever. My life is so crazed all I do is wake up, go to wk/school visit Fraggle, go to Real games and somehow try to sleep and eat at some point in the day. So needless to say the highlight of last week was having lunch with this little guy. :) I had to post the picture because He is not looking totally disconcerned in it. He smiles. I swear. All the time. He just won't let me capture it on film.

Rowan likes to think he can walk even though he doesn't crawl yet. He can't be stopped!

He is a big fan of water. So we spent some good times playing in the fountains.

Things are so crazy right now I wish there was some sort of button I could push so I could just pause my life and take a break. If I am not at one place I'm supposed to be, I'm driving to the next place I'm supposed to be at. I'm totally and completely exhausted. I seriously don't have time for anything. I only have time to make calls when I'm driving. And sometimes driving is the only time I have to myself so the idea of speaking to someone else kills me. I should not have taken on so much. 3 classes on top of everything is to much. I used to love yoga but not I dread Wednesday because I am forced to do it for 2 hours straight. Wednesday is honestly the worst day of the week ever. People keep telling me I can't be that busy. No? here's my schedule:
MON: 9-2 Wk at SD 3-7 wk at FT
TUES: 10-12 class 12-2:30 SD 3:00-7:00 FT
WED: 9-2 SD 3-5 class
THURS:9-11 SD 11-1 class 1-5 SD
FRI: 9-1:30 SD 2-7 FT
SAT:8:45-1:30 FT
Then lets not forget Homework laundry and such.
I never have anytime to rest. I am so worn down. I am so excited to go to Denver at the end of the month simply because there will be two whole days in a row I don't have to be 2 place in one day and I'll be able to sleep in. Oye Vie.
I miss sleeping so much I could cry. Sleep is the best thing ever. I hope to be reunited with it mid January. (Reunited and it feels so good!)

Love One Another

As I'm sure you all know, I am not a person that keeps their mouth shut when they have an opinion. Last night I did not sleep well. I cherish my friendships so much. They mean the world to me. I love all my friends. I love them tall, short, loud, quiet, blond, brunette, red, purple, green, Mormon, not Mormon, gay, straight, whatever. I love you all. So I'm sorry if what I'm about to say offends anyone.

After hearing parts from Boyd K Packer's speech, then reading the SL Trib article about it, I felt many things. Angry, sad, worried, and mortified just to name a few. But most of all, disappointed. I felt disappointed that a major church who so many people listen to, felt this was what they needed to speak to their followers about. Disappointed that with all the suicides happening with gay teens in the media lately, Mr Packer would say the things he said. Disappointed that I know many young gay Mormon teens sitting in their living rooms across the world would feel even more alone and scared then they all ready do. Disappointed that I used to be a part of this religon.

As I'm sure you all know, I am not a fan of organized religion. No matter what it may be. I feel religion should be about love. and taking care of each other. I feel every religion has lost that in order to get more members and more money.

I strongly believe that everyone deserved to love and be loved. NO MATTER WHAT.

Whats ironic is the 2 seconds of LDS Conference I did catch was the choir singing "Love One Another" I stopped for a second and listened. Growing up when I did go to church I always loved this song. Whats the point of singing that song if the basic theme of one of the talks was going to turn around and say such hurtful things?

I started to think about how my life would be without some of the AMAZING gay friends I have. My world would be a lonely sad place. I am thankful everyday for their friendships. When I think about these poor kids that have chosen to take their life I feel heartbroken. The last thing they need is someone telling them to change or that something is wrong with them.

Mayra is currently obsessed with that Bruno Mars song "Just The Way You Are" Whenever it comes on in the car I am told to shhhhh. So she can turn up and hear her favorite part:
"Oh, you know, you know, you know, I'd never ask you to change If perfects what you're searching for then just stay the same" Sometimes this drives me crazy, but over the past 24 hours this part of the song has been playing on repeat in my head.

I hope all my friends out their know that. I'd never ask YOU to change. Not for any reason at any time. Love whoever makes you happy.
I love you all. Love each other.

"As I have loved you, love one another.
This new commandment, love one another.
By this shall men know ye are my disciples
If ye have love one to another. "

Early Breakfast

Recently Derek came to town for a red hot minute for his friends wedding. So Trixi, Fraggle and I had to squeeze in an early, early, breakfast on Sunday morning in order to spend some time with him. We had a yummy food at Blue Plate Diner then decided to take this pic of us where we are all looking straight into the sun. That is why we all look so great. Yep we are definitely smarties.

I love when Derek comes to town and I miss him like crazy when he is not here. As always, it was wonderful to see him.

Repressionism

My good friend Shadna had an art show a few weeks ago that I was lucky enough to attend. His concept is really cool and he can explain it way better then I can. So to check out his official website click here. Or, try the link to the right.

I loved the whole idea of the show, and it of course, its always fun to draw on people. Even Fraggle got into the action.

I was happy to say the show was such a huge success.
That's Shadna drawing on the hot male model.
Anyone was allowed to draw whatever they wanted....with permanent marker.
The drawing of the two broken hearts connecting into one was my favorite drawing of the night (of course Shadna drew it)

Fair-y Tail

So I went to the fair. As a general rule I am very anti-fair. I feel horrible for all the animals they bring in. Not so much the farm ones, but more so the things that are definitely not meant to be Utah, not meant to perform or for that matter be near humans at all. Some of the poor creatures on display this year included seals, lemurs, and alligators. So obviously I had a huge moral dilemma when Alison and Jayleane wanted to go to see Boys II Men. So eventually I gave in and agreed to go. But only if it was completely understood that after the concert we would go around and pet the farm animals.

Here is the photo of the "Boys" One is missing because he is sick or something. The concert was fine. Luckily they sang a lot of covers Because Lets me honest I had only know like 2 of their songs.

Why in hells name someone would dress this sheep up to look like a member of the klan is beyond me. Poor creature.

Here we are with some cows. I informed pretty much every animal not only that my jacket was fake but also that I would never eat them/wear them. I also told them that Jay and Ali would gladly wear/eat them so they should probably not take pics with them. I'm serious. I actually did that. I felt they deserved a heads up.

This goat and I became the best of friends so it gave me a kiss on the cheek. j'adore.

Awesome Possum

Daily Wish for Friday, September 10:
If an opossum (or possum) crosses in front of you, make a wish, saying it three times. If the opossum continues on its way, your wish probably won't come true, but if the opossum changes direction, it is going to make your wish come true.
-North Carolina

And now I present you with some fun possum facts.
Ahem.
-Possums have thumbs on their hind feet.
-Unlike most wild animals, opossums are highly resistant to rabies.
-They have been around since the dinosaurs
-The are North America's only living marsupial
-They are ridiculously cute and I really want one as a pet but my research says that's a bad idea.
