MLS CUP CHAMPS!

Well after an AMAZING trip to Seattle, I am very pleased to report that my boys did what many thought impossible, and became the MLS cup Champions! I could not be more proud they played with all there heart and got the result they deserve. They beat a team with two of MLS biggest "Stars" including David Beckham. And they brought home Utah's first major sports title since 1984!

I had a great time on the trip, and I am so happy I was able to make it.
I"ll post some pics from my trip soon. Last night there was a huge celebration for the boys and I was having a blast until a huge damper was put on the night when I learned that one of my good friends will be off to play for the Philadelphia Union next year. And while I am so happy for him, because this is something I know he really wanted, I will miss him like freaking crazy. When he told me I burst in to tears in the middle of the bar. I know he will do absolutely amazing in Philly and he completely deserves a starting spot. He will kick so much ass. But I am going to HATE not seeing him next year.

Leaving on a Jet Blue Plane

Well peeps, its been awhile, and I do apologize. As you may know I had a bout with what the doctor believes was swine flu. But I beg to differ. I will say this though. My legs were in so much pain I could barely stand. Awful. And I had to miss 4 damn days of work and I am still so tired its killing me.

Anyway, my boys at RSL are going to MLS cup! Hooray! I'm so proud. It is such great news!

Thus I will be boarding a plane this evening for rainy dreary Seattle. Its supposed to be 50 degrees and rain every day I'm there. RAIN! EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. My hair will be fucked. I need to give a special shout out to Jetblue for helping us desperate REAL fans out and offering us cheap airfare even if we have to fly into Long beach and change plans to get there.
I am also really excited to see Derek! We are staying with him, so it should be lots of fun! My mom and I fly out tonight then Mayra arrives Saturday, then the game is Sunday! SO it will be a crazy whirlwind trip! Can't wait!
GO RSL! BRING HOME THE CUP BOYS!!!

Dinner and such...

So i had the great privilege of going to dinner with one of my BFFs for life Trixi last night. Trixi is about 6 months preggers and cute as can be! I am so excited for her and Kevin I can hardly stand it. She looks so damn adorable. We had dinner at the pub then headed down to Pottery Barn Kids to look at their baby stuff. Oh. My. God. soooooo cute. I almost died. and I never think anything involving babies is cute but this shit totally was! Trixi and Kevin are going to be great parents and I can't wait for them to start this adventure!

Trixi and I have been friends for years and I cherish her friendship so much. Trixi, Derek and I used to be inseperable and I consider myself so lucky, that even though we have all grown and changed, that three of us still remain incredibly close. We even called Derek on speakerphone so he could say Hi to us and the baby. All though they are not finding out the sex, I have an feeling its a boy. I can't wait! I'm going to be an aunt. :)

Fall

Well folks it looks like Fall is in full swing. The days are shorter and the air has definitely turned cold and crisp. I feel like this is the first year in a long time I've actually been able to enjoy fall because we haven't just jumped straight to winter like we usually do.

I had such a fun Halloween. I got to see lots of people I really care about and had a great time. (pics coming soon...)I ts been a good fall so far. Its absolutely been a growing experience to say the least. There have been some major changes in my life that had definitely taken some adjusting. But I am reaching a point of peace, and I really do believe everything happens for a reason.
Lots of exciting things are coming up this month. First of all tomorrow, my RSL boys have a very important playoff game! I'm sooooo nervous to see what happens. And if everything goes as it should we will be at MLS cup end of this month. (God willing) Also Jessie will be coming to town pretty soon here so that's sure to be interesting either way. Trixi has a baby shower coming up and I can't believe her and Kevin are going to be parents! I'm so happy for them! Plus we have about a million KB5 roadshows happening so its sure to be a crazy busy month, and I am totally looking forward to staying busy!

Halloweenie

Normally I am all amped up for Halloween, but sadly this year I have felt sort of wah wah about the whole thing. I've pretty much had my costume since June, but I just don't feel to excited for the whole thing. My original plans were scraped a bit back due to conflicts of interest. So that left me feeling a bit blue.
Amywoo, tonight I'm heading out with Jenny and Melissa to a party then I think I'm going to swing by Bliss and visit Mayra at work for awhile. Tonight, I shall be dressed as a boxer. I know , I know its a total cop out costume much like a pirate or cowgirl

or even wrapping a white sheet around you and calling it a costume , but what do I know about that anyhow.
Tomorrow is the playoff game and I am sooooo nervous! I totally believe in my boys but still, yikes! This is a huge game! After that Mayra and I are meeting up for dinner them we are headed out on the town, and I will be dressed like a flapper. ( I know how clever of me.) I'm sure we will meet up with the boys at some point, so its bound to be a fun night. Plus I totally feel Mayra and I can make any situation a fun one.
To help get everyone in the Halloween spirit I've found some funny pictures. Please to enjoy the following:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY!!! HAVE A SAFE AND FUN WEEKEND!

Skate-a-Thon!!

Holy cow. What a weekend! I had so much fun, but now here at work, I look and feel like swamp! Saturday was a crazy busy day that started out selling some KB5 at the Costco. After a CRAZY take down in which we literally threw t-shirts in carts then dumped them into cars along with mannequins and signs. My pal Izzy and I looked like some sad comic duo trying to get the stuff out of Costco while dumping it everywhere. We even dropped one mannequin in a muddy puddle. Opps. Then it was straight to the game where I watched my boys school Colorado and got ourselves a playoff spot and the Rocky Mountain Cup!

That's the way to do it boys!
(my boss is a rock star!)
That was followed by a night out with some of my girls and my boys. Then a crazy after party till 4 in the morning!

Sunday was the skate-a-thon. What a blast! I am covered from head to toe in bruises and scrapes, but after a night of skating, lazar tag and relays through a bouncy house, you are bound to end up a little scraped.

It doesn't help when a 6'3" 236 pound goalkeeper thinks a fair method of warfare in lazer tag is to tackle you to the ground and a 6'4" 210 pound defender slams you against the wall a proceeds to hit your gun out of your hand and into your face.(thanks guys)

All in all it was a really great event. I even got to meet baby Shia for the first time! What a beautiful baby! Plus I turned out to be awesome at the skating. The relay was just like a real life episode of Real World Road Rules Challenge. Totally fun and completely hilarious to watch.
Everyone had great costumes too! Robbie look like he just walked off a movie set and into the skate rink.

It was great fun to see Seth, and I made a couple of new friends the weekend which is always a plus. :)

Afterwards the party headed back to the house for some hanging out and about 30 rounds of flip cup. (I totally thought of your Brian). What a crazy fun weekend. I must say as much as I feel and look like hell today, I think it was worth it!

Workin' at the Costco (sung to the tune of "At the Carwash")

So this guy,

Is my friend Kyle. He has a clothing line called KB5.
The shirts look like this: and this:

Don't judge the models they are soccer players not models. They are awesome dudes and I adore them. :)
(there is girl and kids tees too, but I can't find pics..)
Recently he got his line into
...which means you have to do some roadshows to sell your product. And the good news is, I got hired to help sell them! Yeah! As I'm sure you know, I am desperate for some cash, so if you need to find me the next few weekends I'll be at one of the many Costco's across Utah. Yesterday was my first day and we had a lot of fun. Kyle came out to sign the tees for a few hours and once the kids league got word that he was out there, TONS of kids showed up straight from their practice to buy some tees. It was crazy but so much fun! Kids love Kyle, and he was very obliging signing tees, soccer balls, hats, Ipods, kid's arms, whatever they wanted. Lots of starstruck adults came out and a few lovestruck girls as well. And while it was a little weird being the one taking the pics and not asking for them (ha ha) I had such a great time. Only problem is the lighting at Costco is horrible and makes you feel like your eyes are burning out of your head. No joke. I don't know how people work there full time! I've got a crazy busy weekend ahead and it makes me happy. I forgot how much I miss being busy. I'm working at Costco tonight, then again tomorrow then straight to the REAL game then out on the town with Mayra. Then Sunday Costco again and then the charity Skate-a-thon! Its going to be so crazy busy! Really I'm excited though! As soon as the KB5 website launches, I'll post the link. I hope everyone has a great weekend, and please cross your fingers that my boys make it to the playoffs this weekend! YIKES!

Casino Night!

So, I'm a bit behind, but a few weeks ago was the G.O.A.L.S Casino night. It was the 2ND year for this great event, and we had a lot of fun. The theme was Margarita ville so we dressed in our best island attire and headed down to the Raddison Hotel. We ate dinner, (they had a mashed potatoes bar!) and watched the USMNT game. We danced, played some black jack then watched a raffle that was totally set up so the players and WAGs won all the good prizes. Yes Mayra and I were a bit bitter.(Not about our WAG status, but about not winning any prizes, don't think I don't know where you were ging to go with that...) It was great catching up with Jade, Dunny and Jack Stewart who decided to attend the event. Can't wait till next year! Next up is G.O.A.L.S. 1970's themed skate-a-thon this Sunday! Its going to be a blast!

My heart is sad with the news of the Charlie Davies car accident in DC. I can't imagine how the family of the girl that was killed must be feeling. Rest In Peace. My thoughts are with Charlie and everyone involved in the accident. Get well soon Charlie! We love you!

Dear Future Boyfriend,

It is important that you know that if you EVER insult any of my friends in any fashion including Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, etc... You will quickly become a future X-boyfriend. My friends are way to important to me to put up with that. Because you see, future boyfriend, when you dump me and call me, shady, dishonest or slutty, they will be the ones there when I cry. When you dump all my stuff on the porch and say its over between us they will be the one to run up to your porch and pick it up. They will cry with me, they will hug me, and they will do all they can to make me feel better. And when I get back together with you, and forget the importance of what it means to be a best friend, they will still be there for me. So future boyfriend, while I may get mad, yell and call my friends names, you are NEVER allowed to do this. Because I have history with my best friends and we can survive the drama, the name calling and the fighting. But it is totalluy uncalled for you to tell them to "Grow up" or the similar. I may love you, but I love my friends too. There is enough of me to go around. Boys come and go but good friends stand by you for a lifetime. So watch yourself boyfriend, because you are not irreplacable. But my friends are.
-Me

Ok, so its not a cat

But it is Zac Efron with a dog in sunglasses. Happy Zactober.

What now?

Except, I don't. I really, really don't. I wish I did though. I feel like moving there would in some ways be a giant cure all to many of my problems. Sure, I love Broadway, and shopping, not having to own a car, and all my pals that live there. But when I think about moving somewhere, the idea of moving to NY makes me want to hurl. And not in a nervous, excited sort of way, but in a OMG that sounds horrible sort of way. :( I hate all the buildings. I hate how dirty and crowded the city is. I hate the subway and I refuse to move somewhere that has snow. I just won't do it. If I peace out of the place I am moving somewhere I don't have to deal with snow.
The thing is, I LOVE my little city. I like knowing where everything is. I like seeing people I know everywhere I go. I love my mountains and my dry air. I like knowing where I'm going and how long its going to take me to get there. I like my airport and my two malls. I like my little farmer's market, and I like knowing where I can drive to if I want to visit goats or horses or donkeys or llamas. I love fry sauce and my soccer team and all the great friends and memories I have because of it. I love Sundance and The Dodo Restaurant and my family. When I think about parting with these things my heart breaks. So whats a girl to do?
I despertly miss my friends in New York now more then ever. I miss making videos with Brain and eating at Sizzler while someone has their wedding dinner, and a kid bites Brian. I miss Jessica cooking Penne Vodka, walks with Abby and streaking her courtyard while wearing just a fake fur stole. I miss driving around with Whitney, talking to her in person and making up songs about soccer players. I miss playing games with Spencer and all of us signing karaoke. And I miss straight up just seeing Doug. While I am so happy they are all out in the big city making there dreams come true a big part of me wants them all to come back to stay, and things to go back to how they used to be.
I definitely feel like I need a big change in my life. But is moving the answer? I know I can't move to NY. I know it in my heart and soul. But what then? As some of you know things haven't been so great with me. I'm so thankful for all the amazing people in my life. I have some wonderful friends. I can't say enough how much I love the people in my life here.
I am totally aware people grow and change. They have experiences, or meet people and sometimes then transform. Sometimes its for the better, and sometimes not. Its incredibly hard when the person you once considered closest to you, now feels like a total stranger, that you never even knew. Its hard when the fighting outweighs the laughing. I am trying so hard to focus on all the good in my life, but its hard when there is one big negative issue. I've been thinking about how things used to be when my Friends now in NY were here, and I felt like I had a million best friends. I really miss those days. While I am making new relationships with people I adore, I miss the one I had with my "best friend forever" and I often feel incredibly alone. There has been a complete udder breakdown in communication and I don't know what or how to fix it. Maybe its beyond repair. Maybe people on both sides are just way to hurt by things that have been said or done. Maybe its to late to try and make things better. I really don't know. I'm not trying to cause drama or say hurtful things. I'm just hurt and I don't know what I should do anymore. Do you pretend everything is fine and just walk on eggshells to try and avoid the next blow up? I'm totally out of ideas.
Sorry if this is depressing. I'll find a pic of a cat or something and put it up.

Rainy days and Mondays

My Blackberry just spontaneously combusted and wont work at all. I'm having such a hard time right now. This is something I don't want to have to worry about! I love my phone and there is no way I can afford a new one. I'm really frustrated with some things going on in my life. I know I have so much to be happy and grateful for, but sometimes its so hard. Yesterday showed me a lot about who cares about me. This weekend was such a crazy weekend with so many ups and downs. If anything it was definitely a learning experience. I'm learning a lot about the people I can count on. So as opposed to dwelling on the bad, I'm going to give a big shout out to all the peeps who were by my side this weekend!

*Mayra-What would I do without my Princess! I had such fun walking the streets with you and bar hopping Saturday night. I always know I can count on you for a great time. You always make time for me even at your busiest. Even if your IPhone is really your best friend, I hope I can come in close. I love your face!

*Pinky-Thanks so much for going to dinner with me last night! It really did help me feel a little bit better! Whenever I hang out with you I know that you will be able to make me laugh! You are one of the most kind and caring people I've ever known. I can't wait till Sundance!

*Jess-Thanks for the rainy afternoon phone chat. I don't know what I would do if you weren't in my life! I Miss you! I can't wait to see you Lobster!

*Whitney- Your phone call last night meant so much to me! I know you are the busiest girl ever. I am so proud of you. You always get what you want! I heart you!

*Chops + RSL Boys-Thanks for the good times Sat, and for jumping in with concern when I was smacked in the head with the damn glass. Especially Nat. Thanks Chops for using your ER expertise to make sure I wasn't dying.

*Sarah-Thank you for possibly the best quote ever: "Wow, sounds like you took one for the team. Literally. "

Smacked.

Saturday night I was at a bar. Things were swell.
Swell until some douchbag chucked at glass across the patio and it resulted in me getting smacked in the head. Goose egg and two gashes were also a result. A headache still going strong 2days later is also occurred. Awesome. Thanks. First bar fight I'm in and I didn't even get to throw a punch.

Reason number 253 why I love Jason Mraz

Someone asked Jason Mraz if he had an advice for President Obama and this is what he said:
"Sure. Forgive all the nations for whatever they did that’s keeping our missiles, tanks and soldiers armed and in combat. Lead the world into a new direction of peace by demonstrating a powerful example of compassion. Apologize to all those invested in oil and nuclear power and invite them to join in the building of a new efficient clean earth. Build more schools, increase the number of Arts programs, and pay the teachers anything they want. Also, Keep the Internet free, put a kitten on the US Flag, and make everyday “Casual Friday.“ "

Reason number 254?
He is fond of hats. And who doesn't enjoy a cute boy in a hat?

Reason number 255
He is awesomely nice and cool. I know that because I hung out with him backstage. (just in case you forgot it)
