Its nice to be nice to the nice.

OK! So today I am going to list the top 5 nicest celebs. It was actually kind of hard to pick who should make the list! So many of them were very kind!

5-Monique
She was such a sweetheart. For the moment we approached her she was very warm and friendly called us all baby. Chated for a bit and she didn't make us feel rushed at all when taking the pic.

4-Christie Brinkley
Besides the fact she is stunningly beautiful, she is incredibly sweet! Asked us our names, took pics, and remembered our names later when we saw her. Love her! Only flaw? The fur.

3-Deidre Hall
Not only was Deidre very nice but her people were as well. They say us standing by her and asked if we wanted to take a picture with her. She was very polite and extremely beautiful. Later when I was talking to Jerry Pinacoli from Extra she came up to say hello to him, then apologised for interrupting us.

2-Bill Hader After spending a large portion of our time at Sundance trying to find Bill,(I love Love LOVE Forgetting Sarah Marshall) when we found him doing an interview on a balcony with Ben Lyons, it was an extra special treat. He was so awesome! He saw as looking up at him and waved down, we asked him if he would take a pic when he came down. He was so cool! We talked with him and Ben for awhile. He made jokes that we should climb up the balcony to get to him and he was really nice when he came down and we got our picture.

1-Ben Lyons
My new boyfriend gets the number one spot because I have met him twice in the past two years and both time he is incredibly sweet and charming. When we saw him this year, he was starting to get on the phone and stopped to talk to us. We talked to him for a few mins had some jokety jokes, asked our names again and it was totally wonderful until my arch rival JLS showed up. When we saw him again later and chatted he finished it up with a "Nice to see you again!" Classy. I love him I think he is great. (I may or may not have told him that I've spent the past year telling everyone how cute and nice he is.)

Honorable mentions go to Jim, Ewan, and Robin for being hugely famous, but still managing to have virtually no entourage. And they were all very friendly and totally willing to take pics!

"Don't even think I'm not going to blog about the fact you are a douchbag"

OK. So I'm totally into making lists lately. And since Brian already stole some of my Sundance thunder, I decided to do my Sundance posts list style. Here we go:

TOP 5 DOUCHIEST CELEBS

5-Denise Richards
For starters, why are you even here? Have you even done a movie since Wild Things? There was that one time you were on F*R*I*E*N*D*S, but you sucked on that, you realty show is way lame, so why again, are you so much better then everyone? Word on the street is that you have a movie and slamdance. So maybe you should just stay at the top of Main street in the Slamdance headquarters.
I do however quite enjoy this awesome photo I took of her. With a funsaver mind you.

4-Ashton Kutcher
Your TV show sucked. You movie here at Sundance? Not so good, and your "accent" in the movie even worse. Some people say you are the king of the Douchbags. You have a nice body but well lets face you are pretty much famous for who you married. Even the paps said your photo wasn't worth anything with Demi. So when two people ares standing 10 feet away ask you to take a pic, and your response is "I've really got to get in the car" That makes you a huge Douchbag. (I took this photo too)

3-Jamie Lynn Sigler
As they say in Forgetting Sarah Marshall "The Sopranos is over! Find a new show" You are a brat. I douchie little brat. So here I am having a nice conversation with my future husband Ben Lyons, and you bust up push me out of the way, to then make fun of me. What the fuck is your problem. Also, I heard you sucked when you were in Beauty and the Beast. She may look friendly, but she is very rude. So now as Brian has found has celeb arch rival in Cruz Beckham, I have found mine in Jamie Lynn Sigler. Watch it Princess.

2-John Cleese
Whoa. You are a crazy dude. An angry, mean, crazy, British dude.
When someone asks you for a picture the correct response is not "Is this how its going to be all week?" And guess what I have never seen a whole Monty Python movie. And Spamalot? Not that funny. Look he even gives dirty looks to monkeys.

1-Anthony Kiedis (Front man for Red Hot Chili Peppers)
I have ALWAYS hated your band. The music is awful. Almost painful, no wait, not almost, IT IS. As it turns out you are the prince of all things douchbaggery. What is your deal man? Really? You are super ugly, incredibly short, and you hair is gross. You are far from being cool. Ok folks here is what happens. Hiba, Pinky & I are walking up the street Anthony Kedis walks by, Pinky says "Anthony can I grab a pic with you?" Anthony Kiedis then does the following:
Puts his hands together like he is praying and says "Thanks" He then gives us the thumbs up and says "But no thanks". We all just stood there like WTF dude.

Honorable mentions go to Pierce (I won't even take a pic with a child)Brosnan and Carlos from desperate Housewives who said "No Thanks" when Pinky asked him for a photo.
Douchbags.
I'll post a new list tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Moments of 2008

So here it is folks. My top 10 2008 Moments. I'm sure I'm forgetting some but oh well...

10- All we are is dust in the wind.
This may sound weird but this year was so windy! This pic is from a big wind storm we had early this summer. We were at Red Butte and it hit out of no where. Jess, Hiba and I had to run for cover! Everything was flying around. Flowers, dirt, tables, chairs, food, umbrellas, it was crazy! We have lost our door mat and flower pots many, many times this year. But thankfully the plaster cat, plaster gnome, and cement turtle have all held there ground.

9-You're Fired...twice
Yep in 2009 I got fired. Twice! And thank God, because both jobs I worked at were virtual living hells. At one job one boss asked me to clean the dust off the back of his chair. WTF. Who does that. Sure they had there plus sides, like hanging with Dunny and free clothes but I'm not at all sad to be gone. Before this year I had not been fired in 6 years!

8-Concerts!

This year was such a good year for concerts. I don't think I've ever been to so many in one year. In order:(I think) Ingrid Michaelson(Twice in 2 days) at Sundance, Matchbox Twenty & Alanis, Ingrid, Meiko, Dan Wilson and Crew at the Hotel Cafe Tour, Kayne West & Rihanna , Jack Johnson, Gavin Degraw & Charlotte Sometimes, Jason Mraz plus hang out session, Lenka, Meiko, Rachael Yamagata at The Hotel Cafe Tour, lastly Matt Nathanson at Keys on Main. The best had to be Jason. He put on an awesome show, and turned out to be the nicest guy ever. Thanks again Matt!

7-My gay husband comes to town.
Since Brian included his visit in his list, but did not include a pic of me, I shall do the same. It was so great to see him! Its been over a year. We laughed so hard. Em found a rabbit. We watched old videos. We had game nights & karaoke nights just like old times. There was only a bit of drama. I had such a splendid time. Even if Brian snores.

6-Diego Luna
Mr. Luna is a cat Hibs & I found hanging around our office building. He ended up moving in with us, and he has been such a joy! He is so funny. He loves laying on the heater, playing in his cat tent and eating. I heart his furry little face. Oh and believe it, when I see the original Diego Luna at Sundance this year I fully plan on telling him I named my cat after him.

5-You gotta know when to hold 'em

Casino Night was a charity event I went to this year that I honestly thought was going to be very lame. But it turned out to be such a blast! I never knew you could have so much fun fake gambling. Even though we didn't win our girls night, (sorry Dusty..) It was fun to get dressed up for something fancy. I even wore my Betsy Johnson shoes. The after party at the hotel was great too. The only downside was having to walk barefoot across the street to the hotel because it was snowy and I didn't want to ruin my shoes.

4-Its not me, its you.
This is the year that several people I once considered very close friends decided to peace out of my life as it were. I lost one in Feb, one in July, one in Sep, and one in Dec. That's four in one year! But if anything this was a huge blessing in disguise. I've learned as you get older, you really do discover who your real friends are. And by losing those I thought I could trust, I've become closer to some people and reevaluated my entire trust system. I've revived old friendships and realized the power of forgiving. I've realized how thankful I am for the few great and wonderful people i have in my life.

3-Rocky Mountain Cup/Denver
This trip was very quick but fun in a lot of ways. I always love a weekend with my best girls! We ate, shop, partied,(probably a little to much...) and had an awesome time! I will never forget the memory of driving on a Denver freeway, completely lost, not being able to go above 50MPH because 8 people were in the car. Meanwhile I got people pulling on my hair playing with the radio, and feet out the window. Wow. Thank goodness someone had an Iphone for directions,My team won the Rocky Mountain Cup AND a playoff spot. We even got onto the field for the last couple minutes of the game. It was a blast.

2-Call me when you're sober.

This year was the first year in my 26 years on this planet, that I have known my father sober. It has been such a good year with him! We've had splendid dinners and lunches, he has attended soccer games and we've even hosted some watch parties at his house. I feel like I've met a whole different person. And while I don't like/approve of all his friends, I've met a few I can handle. This is honestly the only pic I could find of him. And no, that's not his girlfriend.

1-Barack the vote.
It was easy to pick my number one moment this year. The election of our new president! I am so excited for him to be sworn in I can hardly stand it. Standing in the Raddison watching his acceptance speech was one of the greatest moment of my life. I knew it my heart it was history in the making. For the first time I ever I felt proud to be an American. Excited to see what was to come. Change is in the air people!

A Brost to Bromance.

MTV premiered their new Monday night line up last night. And they are getting a big round of applause for Bromance. Its awesome. On so many levels.

1-Its on at 10:00pm Utah time so its on early enough that I'm still awake!

2-Brody's on it. And I love him. But honestly, You could make a show where Brody, Frankie, and Taylor (aka Sleazy T) just eat meals and I'd still love it. I think the best part may have been when Frankie looks up and says: "I just don't see why you need another friend." Ahhh. so cute.

3-There was actually a scene where some ridiculous homo complains about the fact The show isn't more like The Hills, that the Bro Mansion isn't nice enough, and that he hasn't seen Lauren Conrad yet. He then announces, to Brody, that he wishes Brody and Lauren would get back together, then he decides to leave the show.

4-The challenges are awesomely ridiculous. Get girls to come to a lingerie party! Make a toast for Brody! Fun. Fun. Fun. I'm putting my money on the fluffy haired white dude to win the whole thing.

5-The eliminations are done from a hot tub! Brody has no shirt! And they showed him going into the hot tub not only in slow motion, but also from like 17 different angles. It was like watching the sun rise while angels sing. Honestly. It was that beautiful.

Then came The City. I am sad to report, after watching two episodes, Its no good! Why you ask?

1-Olivia. I hate her. And not in a Spencer Pratt love to hate way. Nope I pretty much just hate her. Shes vapid. Shes a completely useless bitch. She makes me feel like I'm watching Gossip Girl.(I HATE Gossip Girl) I also hate her voice. I'm pretty sure she snorts coke.I'll give you the fact that she is pretty and rich, but really, so are a lot of people. Their names are Lauren Conrad, Brody Jenner, Kim Kardashain, Jeremy Roloff. I'd rather be watching their shows.

2-The love interest. He is Justin Bobby with a Australian accent. Hes not nearly as entertaining, but he is just as much a douche bag. Plus he rocks loose flannel like JB. Gross.

3-Why does no one on this show do their hair? Its all long and stringy. Literally every single girl, and a couple of the dudes all have gross hair. They all wear little butterfly clips. Whats up with that? It is not 1992. There was a scene, where every single person looked like they hadn't bathed. Yuck. The only one who seemed to like Shampoo was Olivia, but she wore butterfly clips, so its all a moo point anyway. Yep Moo point. It doesn't matter, its like the cows opinion.
(Yeah for F*R*I*E*N*D*S)

4-I don't really like New York. And I really don't like they way anyone on this show dresses. Especially Whitney. She looks like a fool. But then again I've never been fond of Whitney's style. Who the hell wears a yellow romper thing to their first day? its completely absurd.

I mean you all saw what she wore to the after show right? Oh you forgot? Here is a reminder:

Home girl is crazy. Crazy! CRAZY!

5-Its kinda boring. Scratch that very boring. So damn boring I decided to read Us Weekly during the episode. Lets hope MTV can step it up by next week. Oh and here's another stellar Whitney outfit for you. Really? This was your choice? Did you just wake up and go: "I think 80s purple zebra will be my look today?"

So to some it up they should of just shown us re-runs of The Hills, and I want to be Brody Jenner's Hoe. Oops I mean Bro.

One down one to go.

For Christmas my family and I decided not to exchange presents, but they surprised me and bought me a Vacuum! This is very exciting for with the 3 furry monsters that I live with I was in desperate need of a working vacuum, So this was a splendid gift. We named it Zach Roloff. After much explaining to my father that I did not need/want objects for Christmas, he finally agreed to pay for me to get my hair done. Yeah! So that happened Saturday. Anywho, Christmas came and went, with a few tears as always. I ate some food, saw Marley and Me, dealt with my family, played some bored games, just the usual stuff. All in all, pretty glad Christmas is over, now we just have to get through New Years. Yikes.

The one thing I greatly enjoy about the holiday season is when all my friends come to town for a visit!

After much drama, and 750 dollar plane ticket, Jessica finally arrived. On Friday night we all headed out to a swell dinner at the Dodo. The roads were a horrible icy mess, but we all made it safely and I think its safe to say we all enjoyed ourselves a great deal.

Sunday, Derek, Hiba, and myself headed over to Diva's cupcakes & coffee for some tea and snacks. I always love catching up with Derek! We have the best talks.

* You can see the new do in the Derek photo.

Have a holly jolly Christmas or whatever....

Christmas is almost here, and I am sad to say I have not even felt the tiniest twinge of the Christmas spirit. I just keep hoping that every time I go to sleep I'll wake up and it will be March. I even tried to watch Love Actually and that just made me sob like a child.
We went and took our third annual Santa photo. That's always a treat. Standing in line for an hour with all of the Utah trash however was not a treat. I was also tricked into spending 12 American dollars on this stupid thing called Mr Fuzzy. But trust me, if you would of seen in jump from cup to cup you would of bought it too. I went to the Matt Nathanson show Friday night. It was a great show. I'll put up some pics and video later.

Enough with the damn snow already!

WHERE I AM:

Crash.

Why is it whenever things start looking up, and you think things are going your way, everything gets completly fucked. As a favor to my boss, trying to be nice, I volenteered to work 9-6 today as oppossed to 8-5, which is my normal shift. Because of this, when I left my house it had been snowing for an hour. So what happens? I slide, lose control of my car and crash my fucking car into the fucking curb. My tire is ruined, and I also broke something underneath. I have no money to pay for this. And when I arrived at work today, noone asked me if I was ok. Not one person. I fucking hate driving. I hate snow. Oh yeah, and everyone got Christmas bonuses today. Everyone but me. Merry Fucking God Damn Christmas.

Scamed!

Dear MTV,

I realize that "The Hills" is considered scripted reality or whatever, (Sorry Lauren) but this week you went to far. OK I get you have to fit The Stupid Speidi wedding in but some continuity would be nice!

First we all know Whitney went to New York awhile ago, because MTV, you have been shoving previews for "The City" down our throats for quite some time now.(By the way I am super excited for Bromance, thanks for the full hour of Brody) So we all know Whitney peaced out of LA quite sometime ago. So why did you feel the need to combine both stories into one episode? And how about that super awkward/completely forced conversation where Audrina tells Lauren and Lo that Spencer and Heidi are missing. WTF was that MTV? We all know Audrina is not just going to bring that up out of nowhere. Secondly MTV, and what I consider your biggest fail, in every photo of Heidi and Spencer at their wedding and in the stupid little wedding video you show them watching, Heidi's nails are a light pink color. But the whole time you have Spedi "in Mexico", before and after the wedding, Heidi's nails are a bright coral pink! So are you trying to tell me MTV, the home girl got her nails done twice just in the time she is in Mexico? That ridiculous! And are you seriously not going to film the wedding with your own cameras? Did you camera crew just decided to have a snack while the nuptials are being performed. Unacceptable. Here is your proof:

First photos from US Weekly taken on the supposed wedding day: (Please note this nail polish is the same color as it is in the wedding video)

And here is a pic from Mondays episode where Heidi and Spencer are supposedly in Mexico, for their wedding, watching their wedding video.

Nice try, MTV. Nice try. Your fans may be stupid enough to pay a million dollars for your DVDs and watch every spin off you send our way, but we are not dumb enough to fall for this. This won't do MTV!! It just won't do!
There are like 40 other inconsistencies, but I think the nail polish is enough.
Thank you for your time, and I will expect this to not happen again.
Your Friend,
Heidi

Cold. Cold.

Well, its gotten cold out here in the west. Not a little cold, but effing freezing! So cold, that when you walk outside it hurts down to your very soul. It snowed a ton this weekend, and it still looks incredibly dreary outside.
I feel like this weekend was crazy busy from the moment I finally got it started. Its so hard to get out of bed when its so damn cold. I laid there most of Saturday morning, drinking tea, eating chocolate covered almonds, cuddling with my cat, reading magazines and texting. It was a very enjoyable way to start the weekend.
After I finally got going Hiba and I headed out to the Rio Tinto, for the bone marrow drive. Here we are getting all signed up:

After chatting with Julia for a few we headed over to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory with Mayra. That evening I went to see Brian Stokes Mitchell preform with the Mo Tab Choir. He was amazing. I've always wanted to see him preform. It was definitely a treat. Did you know that the conferences center is like a fortress with the most intense security ever? Trust me. It is.
Sunday I enjoyed a wonderful brunch with Trixi at The Dodo. Then I spent the afternoon cleaning, a quick trip to the mall, then dinner with Hiba, my dad and my friend Dawn and her mother.
I hate when the weekends end. I miss them so much. I wish I was doing something I loved everyday from 9-5 instead of just "working." Its hard to be forced to spend 40 hours a week doing something that doesn't fill you with joy.

Full of Surprises...

This past weekend held quite the surprise.
Its funny when someone texts you and announces they are in town and they want you to come get them ASAP. Not like funny haha, more like what the fuck I'm not ready for this I didn't wash my hair today and my house looks like a train wreck funny. But I got to see someone I adore, so that made me happy. Its amazing how I was in an absolute panic up until the moment I saw him then it was just like total peace and calm when I finally saw him. Very blissful. Almost like a spa. I feel we mesh well. I only wish I could of seen him longer.

In other surprise news, has anyone seen the pics of Ms. Aniston on the cover of the new GQ. Damn! She is naked! Don't get me wrong home girl looks good, buts shes wearing nothing but I tie! I'm going to feel like a perv when I buy it. Seriously like full on naked! So naked I do not feel comfortable posting it on my blog here at work based on the fact that if anyone sees it they might mistake it for porn.

So here is a super cute pic of her with a dog.:
